Build to Rent developments are changing how people are living in cities across the UK.
They add much to their surroundings but it is the focus on building communities that set this sector apart. The fixed rental cost provides a lifestyle, not just a place to live, with an abundance of amenities right on the doorstep. On-site Gyms, Yoga Studio, Workspaces, Free Wifi, Private dining, Meeting Rooms and Outdoor spaces are just some of the facilities available. On site Resident Services teams are dedicated to fostering new communities with ongoing programmes of events and initiatives.
Our work in this sector spans across the UK delivering on-site marketing, Resident and Visitor communications. Our aim with every site is to help to ensure maximum enquiries from the minute ground is broken and maximum occupancy once the site opens.
Each building is its own advertisement, unique in terms of its physical relationship to passers by, traffic, and the public transport network. Understanding the landscape is essential in order to identify the key onsite locations for marketing communications which tell people 'We're Here, Come See!!' Moving forward it's essential that marketing communications promote lifestyle to build interest and importantly to build a residents waiting list.
We ensure every sites unique benefits are communicated at each stage of build and mobilisation. So how do we do this? Externally we focus on showcasing the building and its key USPs to the public. This usually starting with Hoarding design. Hoarding provides the perfect platform to introduce what's coming - key benefits, timeline and call to action. This must be visible to passers by on foot, in cars, on bikes and on public transport. Key information should be targeted on natural 'rest ' areas around the site, on corners, by traffic lights, bus stops and access points. We encourage critical information to be 'fixed' in position leaving certain areas dedicated for 'new' site information to keep messaging fresh. Once the hoarding is down, Marketing around the building is more refined and must work sympathetically with the building. A balance has to be achieved in terms of presenting the site as a potential permanent home and ensuring a steady stream of ongoing enquiries.
Internally we ensure that there's an effective Wayfinding and Information Signage scheme in place so that Residents, Staff and their guests can confidently navigate their way around their new home and community and understand how the building flows. All our schemes are compliant with current Fire Safety Regulations (see our blog post for more information).
With more and more BTR communities emerging, it's so important that your site can compete effectively for new Residents. Need help with marketing your site? Talk to us
