Simpler Recycling New Regs 31.03.25

New Waste Management regulations becoming effective on 31.03.25 will apply to Businesses across the UK with 10 or more full time employees. The Regulations are being introduced to improve recycling rates, reduce landfill, cut methane emissions, support sustainability goals, standardise recycling practices, promote the circular economy and increase efficiency.

In order to be ready, businesses need to:

• Conduct a Waste Audit

• Implement a Waste Separation System

• Partner with a Licensed Waste Carrier

• Train Staff in waste separation

  
  

Businesses are required to use clear colour coded signage to help employees understand the new guidelines with familiar symbols so people can understand what can be recycled where.
